The Formula Renault V6 Asia Series is one of the latest add-ons to the stable of events organized by the Asian Festival of Speed. In its second year running, the series is labeled as the ‘highest category of single-seater racing’ before Formula One, by AFOS. The 12-round series will be having its first 4 rounds in the Sepang International Circuit, Malaysia, with its remaining 8 rounds being held in some of the best racing circuits in Asia.
The cars used in Formula Renault V6 are rated as the most technologically advanced and highly developed in its category. With speeds reaching up to 275 kph, the 370bhp, 3.5i 24 valve V6 engine racing car is the best option for the most ambitious Asian drivers.
Seen as a stepping stone to Formula One for Asian drivers, the Formula Renault V6 Asia Series is also an excellent platform for a whole racing team to prepare themselves for bigger things to come; the drivers, engineers, mechanics and team managers.
